Housed in a Greek revival antebellum mansion, the Scottsboro Jackson Heritage Center is dedicated to preserving local history and customs. Located near City Hall, the center is conveniently situated for a daytime visit while in town. The museum has three major exhibits: the "Brown-Proctor House," the pioneer village "Sagetown," and the "Little Courthouse" which offer a number of perspectives on the area's 12,000-year history.
